Annual Hockey Ball At Mangapai

I Weather conditions were against n 1 large attendance at the annual hockey : ball, held at Mangapai on Thursday, i The hall was comfortably filled with 1 dancers, and a jolly time was spent j by all. ! Frank Carter's band supplied the 1 music. with loud-speaker and amjplifier. Mr Cliff Holland was M.C. The trophies held by the Mangapai Hockey Club were on view cn the stage.

The supper was set downstairs and was served by members of the team. A confetti dance was won by Miss Alice Whittle and Mr Lcs. Whisker, who were also the lucky pair in the Monte Carlo waltz.
