Whangarei S.P.C.A. Ladies Farewell Member
The ladies’ committee of the Whangarti S.F.C.A. mot at the home of Mrs Patterson on Saturday afternoon, the occasion being to farewell Mrs Maynard, who leaves shortly on her return journey to Canada. The president. (Mrs Fulljames) was unable to attend. Mrs Fricker (vice-president), in a few well chosen words, presented iha guest of honour with .a bouquet and a gift from those present, with best wishes for a happy trip. Dance at Onerahi A fancy dress ball, held at Onerahi on Wednesday night, in aid of the Manaia Princess, Miss Olive Eishcll. proved a great success. In spile of the miserable weather, the dance was a jolly one. The spot waltz was wen by Miss B. Williams and partner, while Miss O. Edwards and Mr Lowe were the lucky couple in the railway Monte Carlo. During the evening a cannister of tea was raffled. Mr A. Larcombe being the winner. Among these present were Mesdam.es A.
