LONDON, July 13.
The Independent Cable Service quotes the “Daily Express” Hongkong correspondent as - saying that the biggest lie of the war was told in. Hankow;, by a Japanese-owned newspaper, in which it is asserted that Britain handed oyer Hongkong to the Japanese amid tumultuous Chinese rejoicing.
•A torrent of anti-British propaganda is sweeping South China in the Jap-anese-controlled press. It is variously asserted that the Chinese are fleeing from Hongkong because of the British brutality, and that the British are poisoning the Hongkong reservoirs.
