Clarke Punches In Wrestling Ring

In a professional heavyweight contest staged last evening, the New Zealand wrestling champion, “Lofty” Blomfield, defeated “Dazzler” Clarke. Clarke was disqualified in the sixth round, at which stage each man had secured a fall. The first fall was awarded in the third round to Clarke, after ho had held his opponent for some time in a reverse headlock and a back-breaker hold. Blomfield equalised in the fifth round with an octopus clamp. In the sixth round Clarke was warned for -straightout punching, but he took no notice, and was disqualified.
