Presentation To Miss Higgins
At the conclusion of business last night, the staff of the Bargain Stores Limited look opportunity to make a presentation to Miss F. A. Higgins, who leaves the firm to take up a position in Auckland. In handing to Miss Higgins a solid leather travelling case, Mr. J. S. T. Tudehope referred to the excellent service that Miss Higgins had given
to the firm. He wished her every success in her new employment. Miss Higgins suitably replied.
A very bright party was held at the Warrington Studio on Wednesday night to farewell Mr W. L. Free on the eve of his return to Masterton. Mr H. W. Crawford, on behalf of the many friends present, while expressing regret at Mr Free’s departure, congratulated him on the great success ho had achieved during his short sojourn here, and presented him with a barometer as a small tpfccn of remembrance and best wishes for the future. Hostesses were Mrs H. Wilson, wearing floral exhibition crepe, and Mrs J. S. Horrell, black panne velvet. Among those present were Mcsdames H. W. Crawford, J. Murdoch, H. Younger, R. D. Speer, D. Grayson, Geissler, F. Walton, L. Booth, O. Anderson. W. C. Coote, T. Mitchell, A. H. Crane and the Misses Connie Harrison, Pat' Cronin, Margaret Jack. Joan Geissler and Molly Armstrong. Excellent music was supplied by Messrs Cos Wright, R. Shaw and McAulifTc.
