London Wool Sales

LONDON, January 28. The wool sales generally were well supported, although Merinos sometimes sold at sellers’ lowest limits. Crossbreds are brisk in the face of active home inquiry. At the ales on Friday, 9037 bales were offered, including 3172 bales from New Zealand, and 7265 bales were sold. There was a good selection. The demand was less active, ‘ bids almost failing to reach sellers’ high limits. New Zealand • slipe crossbred lambs, “Pareora,” made 12Jd per lb.
