Mexico Joins AntiSemitic Hunt
(Received 10 a.m.) MEXICO CITY, January 27
Violent anti-Jewish demonstrations, apparently orgam’sed, and almost leading to the lynching of two Jews, broke out in the shopping district. A mob of more than 3000 people stormed the Jewish chamber of commerce and destroyed many Jewish shops and non-Jewish ones by mistake, until they were dispersed by police and firemen. The disturbances are attributed to elements formerly belonging to the old anti-Semitic Golden Shirts Organisation.
