Prices Ease At Northern Wairoa Sheep Fairs
L Special to "NWtfiem ■ Advocate”! DARGAVILLE, This Day. An easing in prices characterised the first sheep fairs for the season which commenced in the Northern Wairoa on Thursday. A total clearance was effected , at Kirikopuni by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. Quotations were:—Eat and forward 4-tooth wethers, 17/; 2-tooth wethers forward, 16/; small 2-tooth ewes, 19/ to 21/; rough and inferior, 18/ to 18/6; 4 to 5-year annual draft ewes, 15/ to .16/6; smaller, 13/ to 13/9; failing mouth ewes, 12/ to 13/6; aged worn, mouth ewes, 7/ to 7/9. The North Auckland Farmers Co-op. Ltd., reports that at Kirikopuni there was a fairly large yarding. Prices, compared with last year showed a decline of 5/- a head. Top 2-tooth ewes made 22/6 to 24/8; medium 2-tooth ewes, 18/ to 20/5; 5-year aged mouth ewes, 17/6; 6-year ewes, 12/6 to 15/6; aged ewes, 7/ to 10/; fat wethers, 177; store 2-tooth wethers, 13/6 to 14/6; medium shorn wether lambs, 8/ to 9/6; small 6/ to 8/; culls, 8/ to 5/.
