War Minister Fires Bren Machine-Gun

(Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, January 24,

The Secretary of State for War, Mr Hore-Belisha, to-day visited the Royal small-arms factory at Enfield and fired 30 rounds from a Bren gun at a 2CO- - target. He said that the production of this weapon was now on a wartime scale. The gun is composed of 172 parts and passes through- 3174 operations, in which 4987 gauges are employed. At Enfield, 3400. employees, in addition to the manufacture of machineguns, are engaged on the production of revolvers and the repair of rifles and machine-guns.

Results of the examination in international law have been released by the University of New Zealand. Included in the names of successful students of the Auckland University College is H. S. P. Rishworth (Whangarei), who was successful in the final LL.B.
