Investigating British Defences In South Seas
/ (Received 12 Noon.) ~ SINGAPORE, January 13. The Australian Minister of Civil Aviation, Mr H. V. Thorby, arrived at Singapore, and was received by the air officer commanding, and the Director of Civil Aviation. In an interview, Mr Thorby said: “I hope to gather considerable knowledge pf Singapore and Malayan defences, and how they link up with the defences of Australia, New Zealand and New Guinea.”
