Canada Speeds Up Defence
OTTAWA, August 10
Canada’s land, sea and air defences are to be reorganised shortly, and an Air Council, headed by Lieut.-Oolonel W. A. Bishop, V.C., the famous war ace, as Air Marshal, co-ordinating military and civil aviation, may be formed. A fishermen’s reserve on the Pacific Coast is being organised to co-operate with the Navy, and militia training camps in all parts of the country are being developed rapidly.
