Castle Liner Held Up
(Received 12.30 p.m.) GIBRALTAR, August 10. An Insurgent armed trawler fired a blank shot and stopped the Union Castle liner Llandaff Castle, from England, in the straits. The Dutch cruiser Johan Maurits Vannassau, of the Dutch Gibraltar patrol, intervened, and the trawler cast off and steamed away.
The hold-up occurred at night time, and 200 passengers rushed to, the rails when the trawler came alongside.
