Pigs in Demand At Kamo

The North Auckland Farmers’ Coop., Ltd., reports that at the Kamo sale yesterday there was an especially large yarding of pigs, which sold ,at fully 2/- up on late rates. Dairy cattle showing qualify also sold well, while beef and stores realised late rates. Quotations:— Pigs; Light porkers, £2 12/6 to £2 8/-; heavy stores, £2 to £2 9/6; medium stores, 35/- to 39/6; small, 28/- to 34/-; slips, 23/- to 26/6; weaners, 19/- to 24/6. Sheep: Woolly hoggets, 16/-. Cattle: Best dairy cows, £8 to £8 12/6; medium, £6 10/- to £7 15/-; .aged and inferior, £5 to £6 7/6; best dairy heifers, £7 10/- to £8 2/6; medium, £6 7/6 to £7 5/-; small and backward, £5 5/- to £6 2/6; light fat cows, £6 10/-; fresh conditioned cows, £4 10/- to £5 2/6; heavy boner cows, £3 10/- to £4 2/-; medium, £2 15/- to £3 7/6; light, £1 10/- to £2 5/-. Waiotira Prices. Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons, Limited, report holding a sale .at Waiotira yesterday when, although beef was in demand, dairy cattle were dull of sale. Prices for an average yarding were;—Heavy steers, £ll 10/-; heavy fat cows and heifers, £8 1/- to £8 15/-; fat cows and heifers, £5 15/- to £7 15/-; boner cows, £1 10/- to £2.
