Brisk Competition At Frankton

[Special to “Northern Advocate.”} HAMILTON, This Day. There was a full yarding of all classes of fat sheep at the Frankton stock sale yesterday. Prices for prime ox ranged up to £l6 for a line o 1 Shorthorns, and cow beef met with brisk competition. Best quality fat ewes showed an improvement, and buying was maintained throughout. Competition for boners was not quite so keen, with a slight easing tendency noticeable. The yarding of fat pigs was light, and consisted mostly of porkers. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., reports:— Sheep.—Good heavy wethers, 28/ to 30/; medium, 26/ to 27/9; lighter, up to 25/9; heavy ewes, 23/9; medium, 20/ to 21/; light, 16/6 to 18/; good hoggets, 21/ to 22/9; medium, 18/ to 20/9; light. 16/6 to 17/6; store hoggets, to 16/3; cull hoggets, 10/3 to 13/6.
