to Defend Harding Shield
The following team has been chosen by the sole selector, Mr B, D. Gould, to represent Northern Wairoa in defence of the Harding Shield against Whangarei at Rugby Park, Dargaville, next Saturday.— Full-back, Cossar; three-quarters, Colmore-Williams, Bradley, R. Bonner; five-eighths, Te Rore, Webster; half-back, Hackett; front row, D. Newlove, J. Newlove, R, Gunn; second row, Nathan, Flavell, Lovell, Edwards.; back row, Ewenson.
Emergencies:—Backs, Pryde, Walters; forwards, Langton, Nathan. Although changes in personnel compared with the team which defeated Otamatea last Saturday are few there has been some reorganisation. R. Bonner replaces Nash, who was unavailable owing to an injury, as one of the wingers. Bradley has been placed at centre, vice Webster who has been moved to first five-eighths to replace Pryde who becomes an emergency, J. Newlove replaces Nalharl of Ruawai, Us hooker.
