Persecution of Jews In Danzig
(Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, July 27. A new anti-Jewish campaign has opened in Danzig, with the object of expropriating industrial property, says the Warsaw correspondent of the TVTanchester Guardian.” The Nazis are supervising all Jewish metal firms, and the owners are being either arrested because of the expropriation, or driven to suicide. Herr Phasphall, a director of the oldest metal firm in the three cities, jumped from a window and was killed, just as the police arrived to arrest him. Three other directors have been imprisoned. German firms operating in Poland have been ordered not to deal with the Jews.
