Messrs. Dalgety & Company report holding a stock sale at Kaikohe, when there was a medium yarding, everything changing hands at satisfactory prices. Dairy cows, close to profit, made from £5/10/- to £6/10/-; good heifers, £6/15/- to £7/5/-; an extra choice line of Shorthorn heifers, in calf to a Shorthorn bull, made £8; fat cows, £6/15/- to £7; good empty cows to £6; Polled Angus cows in calf to a P.A. bull, £6/1/-; 18-months P.A. steers, £5/17/; 18-months Shorthorn steers, medium quality, £5/15/-; poorer sorts, £4; boner cows, £l/10/to £2/15/-. Sheep: Wether hoggets, 16/9 to 17/; ewe hoggets, small, 18/6.
