Source Of Rattles
I A source of nn annoying rattle, or rather rumble, that owners often have diffiulty in locating is frequently the battery, specially if it is mounted in a container under the bonnet. As a rule, when the car leaves the factory the battery fits snugly, but if a new battery is later purhased, and it is not exactly the same size as the orig-' inal. it is like:y lo 'oo loose in the box, I and to rattle on rough roads. A piece of wood or. better still, a block of heavy rubber, is an ideal buffer.
