Leaky Motor Tubes
No motor owner welcomes a leaky m-'tcr tube, yet quite a large percentage of drivers fail to take a very simple step towards safeguarding against one of the most prolific causes of tyro deflation, and that is running wilh the tyre-valve caps missing. This, says the “Dunlop Bulletin.” is one of the most common causes of detericrEtion of the rubber valve seating. as dust, dirt and water penetrate a»>d cause leakage of air. Without a valve cap, the average air loss from a tyre is from one to two pounds more per week than if a cap is fitted. The remedy is simple and cheap, and well worth the little attention.
