A nolle prosequi, which means .he abandonment of the ease, has boon entered by the Crown hi the case brought against Kenneth Frank Bowdon, of Kawakawa. of failing to stop and render assistance after an ace; dent. At the February sessions of the Supreme Court, Bowden was charged with failing to s.op after an accident, failing to ascertain if a girl who had Tumped from the car had been injured, and failing to render assistance, but the jury could not reach an agreement. A retrial of the case took place at the May sessions after aspects of it had been decided by the Court of Appeal, and again a jury disagreed, this time on the third count only. A retrial was ordered for the present sessions. but the case has now been abandoned.
