First Rugby Rep. Game Tomorrow
Tomorrow, for the first time this season. a Whangarei Rugby representative side will be seen in action at Rugby Park, where Rodney will be the opponents. Although ten Whangarei players will be away with ihe North Auckland side, the sole selector Mr. F. C. H. Cowan, has assembled a strong team capable of turning on highly attractive football. Rodney have a light side, but in a match with Otamatea , last Saturday, gave a sparkling exhibition, losing by two points only in a game which abounded with open back movements . Their team will be; Backs Neeley. Bennett, Adolph, Sharp, McCarthy, Tui, Bell. Forwards; Scull, Harris, Munro, Dunning, Watson, T. McCarthy, Walker, Proctor. Emergencies: Bradman (forward), McKinnon (back). The big match will commence at 2-45 and the curtain raiser at 1-15 p.m. A full round of games in the senior B. junior, third and fifth grades will be played. The fourth grade representative team will visit Waipu. CLUB TEAMS. Hora Hora juniors:— Carter, Painter Amos, Quigg. Bcvington, Beeston. Boyd. Redwood, Lord, Fidler, Provan, Redwood, Livingstone.
