Hankow Heavily Bombed
(Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, July 15. A large Japanese air squadron heavily bombed Hankow at noon to-day. The battle for Kiukiang involved the fate of Ruling, the mountain resort where Marshal Chiang Kai-shek last year made his momentous decision to fight the Japanese. It is also the place to which foreigners repair to escape the heat of the plains. Concern has been aroused by a Japanese thrust at Chin-teh-chen, on the Poyang Lake, where the famous centuries-old Sung. Ming and other porcelain kilns are situated.
