Kaitaia

Stainer’s “Crucifixion.” With the idea of developing and giving expression to musical talent in Kaitaia and districts, arrangements have been made for producing Stainer’s “Crucifixion” at the Anglican Church, Kaitaia, on the Sunday preceding Easter. Mr W. R. Langley, the organist and conductor, has been able to secure suitable vocalists as principals. These are Mesdames Garton, Gunson, McKinnon and Gurr, and Messrs Hay, Lloyd-Peace, Jones and Mess. Those who are prepared to assist in the choir should get in touch with Mr Langley. Full training will be given by the conductor to all taking ; part before the public appearance 1 takes place. One rehearsal has already been held with the principals, and it is desired that applications for places in the choir shall be made immediately, so that there will be a full compleihent of voices throughout the whole of the full rehearsals.
