U.S. Girls’ Anti-Jap. Silk Boycott
(Received 1.30 p.m.) NEW YORK. January 7,
Wealthy students of Vassar Girls’ - College (U.S.A.) danced around a huge bonfire on the campus. Into it they cast all their silk stockings, scarves and lingerie as anti-Japanese gestures. Dancing bare-legged on the snowcovered ground, the girls sang; Make Lisle the style, Wear Lisle a-while. If you wear cotton, Japs, get nothin’.
