Whangarei Pigeon Club Competes In N.Z. Young Bird Derby
The Whangarei Homing Pigeon Club’s race last Saturday was in connection with the N.Z. young bird derby. The local club struck a fair day and was able to register a fair Viously, the race resulting: W. Griffith’s m.c. Silver Lining, 1191.6 yards per minute, 1; E. Gilbey’s b.c.p. Pom Pom, 1185.3 yards per minute, 2; Balfour and Redmond’s r.c.c. Patchy, 1184.9 yards per minute, 3; D. Wilson’s r.c.c. Contenthment, 1181.1 yards per minute, 4: D. Millington’s m.p.c. Freddy, 1139.2 yards per minute, 5. I No word is through yet as to how j the rest of the clubs flew, but Wha- j ngarei should be well in the running. |
