Mayors Urged To Open Lists [Per Press Association. Copyright.'] MASTERTON, This Day. The following statement regarding the proposed national memorial to the late King George V. was made last night by the Mayor of Masterton, Mr T. Jordan, who is president of the Municipal Association of New Zealand. — “In accordance with the resolution passed at the recent municipal conference at Timaru, it is expected that the Mayors of every city and borough in New Zealand will open funds in support of the Prime Minister’s appeal for a national memorial to the late King George V., and it is desired that the goal should be reached by the date of the Coronation of His Majesty King George VI., May 12.” A Press Association message from Invercargill states that Sir Robert Anderson has given £250 and Lady Anderson £IOO to the King George V. National Memorial Fund.
