FARM WORKERS PUT OFF P.W.D. JOB

(Special to “Northern Advocate .”o HAMILTON, This Day.

It is j reported- that, within the last few days, 15 men, alleged to be farm labourers, have been dismissed from the Public Works Department at Arapuni. It is stated that the men, who recently went to the hydro electric 'works, left their Jobs on farms, and their dismissal follows the recent warnings issued by the Minister of Public Works the Hon. R. Semple, and the Minister of Labour, the Hon. H. T. Armstrong. Officials of the department at Hamilton are reticent, but the report has been confirmed.
