Mayor’s Allowance.
On the’motion of Cr G. H. Morrish, the Whangarei Borough Council decided last night to restore the reduction in the Mayor’s allowance made when ‘cuts’ were generally imposed. Section 60 of the Municipal Corporation’s Act authorises this.
