Alexander (Reefton).—Return for June, with May figures in parentheses: Crushed 351 (370) tons for a return of 188 oz 17dwts (1720 z 19dwts) melted gold; cyanide department treated 236 (220) tons of sand for 430 z 9dwts (440 z 18dwts); total estimated value at £7 an ounce, £1530 (£1684, including clean-up of 440 z Bdwts from concentrates roaster). In addition, 9.3 (10.2) tons of concentrates, valued at £240 (£300) were saved.
Maori Gully (West Coast). —250 z 3 dwts for' 133 hours. For part of the time the dredge was working in old tailings. King Solomon (Gore). —This week, 270 z lldwts.
Mt. Morgan (Qpeensland).—Four weeks ended July 8 (figures for previous four weeks in parentheses).—Ore mined, 20,448 (22,932) tons; concentrator treated, 20,450 (23,540) ions; assaying, 4.26dwts (4.21) gold and .62 (.43) per cent, copper. Concentrates produced, 735.(841) tons, containing 2855 (3250) oz gpld, and 109 (85) tons copper. During the period heavy rain interfered ■with production, the open cut losing 100 hours, representing 18 per cent, of working time.
