OF SPECIAL INTEREST, OF SPECIAL INTEREST—- , Tapuhi, Hukerenui. Dear Kupe, Well, Kupe, here I am again, and before I tell you any news, I must say how very much I like my badge. I think it just lovely. I expected to see a nice one, but never imagined it would be as neat as it is. On our way to Whangarei yesterday, we called for our mail at Hukerenui, and on opening an envelope addressed to me, can you imagine how pleased I was to find it was my badge. I put it on right away and wore it to Whangarei. Just as we got into the car yester- j day, it started to rain and it has rained ever since, much to my disappointment, as an aunt and cousin were coming from Hokianga to spend a holiday with us. But unfortunately Dad was unable to get to the Hukerenui Station to meet them on account of the flood, so they had to put their, trip off for a few days. There are a few of our neighbours spending a holiday at the beach, so they will not be having a very happy time 1 this kind of weather. Well, Kupe, I must close for this time. With best wishes to you and your followers. I am, One of your maidens, RITA NASH.
