CRICKET COMPETITIONS
TOMORROW’S MATCHES The second series of matches in the Whangarei Cricket Association’s competitions will' be played tomorrow. Old Boys, the new senior eleven, will make their first appearance on No. 1 wicket at the Reclamation, where they will meet Onerahi, while Whangarei will try conclusions with Maungakaramea on No. 2 pitch. The turf wicket at the High School will be used for the game between Combined Services and School. Nomads will travel to Hikurangi. Junior matches will be played at Portland, Maungatapere, the High School ground and the Reclamation. Teams will be: — Seniors. Combined Services: Weir, Wallace, Wilton, Williams, Jenyns, Batten, Patterson, W. Saul, N. Saul, Provan, Jones. JTomads: McKay, Dunn, Collins, Morrison, Green, Agnew, Steedman, Cotterill, Dunning, Cormack, Godfrey. Old Boys: Tait, Given. M. Kelly, A. Kelly, Burton, Bright, Banton, Williams, Norris, Beehre, Ward, 12th man Lacey. Junior. Services: Knaggs, Cook, Chissell, Haigh, Conway, R. and T. Ccnaghan, Scott, Gillett, H. Tapper and Preebe. Albion: Wells, Cole, Ross, Findlay, Alderton, Ray, Wilkes, L. Madden, Nixey, Penney, Leatherby and Wilson (one to be omitted).
