SIX PER CENT. DIVIDEND
[ per Press Association—Copyright.'] WELLINGTON, JThis Day. Monteith Phoenix Brewery Ltd., Reefton, has advised the Stock Exchange Association that a dividend at the rate of 6 per cent per annum for the year ended March 31, 1935, has been declared payable on October 29.
At the annual general meeting of shareholders on Tuesday, a special resolution was passed that the capital of the company should be reduced from £15,000, divided, into 15,000 shares of £1 each, and that the reduction should be effected by returning to the holders of the 13,000 shares issued, paid up capital to the extent of 10/ a share, and by reducing the nominal value of each and all shares from £1 to 10/. The sanction of the Court is now being sought, for the purpose of giving effect to the resolution.
