CYCLISTS AWHEEL
SECOND ROAD RACE. CHRISTIE GETS FIVE MILES IN 16 MINUTES. Last evening the Whangarei Cycle Racing Club held'* another of their series of road races over a five mile course to Kamo and back, starting and finishing at the Parochial Hall. Although the field was not large owing to the inclement weather, the race was one of interest, only 4-sth seconds separating the first three riders with the next two following very closely. The winner also made fastest time, completing the course in 16min 14 l-ssecs. The results were as follows:
A. Christie (30secs), 16min 14 l-ssec, 1 and fastest time; J. Carter (30secs), 16min 14 2-ssec, 2; B. Burch (30secs), 16min 14 4-ssec, 3; S. Mogford (1m 15s)), 17min 19,2-ssec, 4; P. Taylor (1m 15s), 17min 30 2-ssec, 5. The next race will be over a course of 18 miles.
