MAUNGATAPERE-OTAIKA
WORK ON NEW ROAD AUTHORITY GIVEN Mr A. J. Murdoch, M.P. for Marsden, advised today that the Miinister of Public Works has issued authority for the .construction of the Maunga-tapere-Otaika road, and that work would be commenced immediately. The section of road is usually known as the Maungatapere-Kaigoose Road, and will connect Otaika and Maungatapere. * The work will be carried out by unemployed labour, and will cost in the vicinity of £I2OO. . Preliminary (survey work has already been carried out.
