Mr J.'W. McEwan. who was recently an inmate of the Whangarei District Hospital, has now returned to his home and is making a good recovery, Mr F. Branch, senior golf coach for New Zealand, is visiting Whangarei and is a guest at the Whangarei Hotel, Mr Branch proposes to spend some time in the district to give coaching instruction to golfing enhusiasts. Mr J. G. U Hewitt, S.M., who' has been relieving at the Whangarei Magistrate’s Court, during the absence of Mr G. N. Mdrris, S.M., on leave, is presiding at Dargaville today.
