Triplets For a Goat. The North’s reputation for unusual animal incidents is growing. The latest animal to claim the honour is a 13-months-old goat belonging to Mr Bryers, Maunu, which has produced triplets. The young family is doing well, but as a goat is only able to feed two young ones at a time, a bottle has had to be provided for the third arrival.
Five crews, representing- 20 men, were out on the first day of the Wha.ngarei Rowing Club’s season on Sunday. “Activities have not started of; ficially yet,” said an officer of the club this morning, “but everything is in readiness, boats having been overhauled and put in good racing condition. A big membership is anticipated, and prospects are for crews in all classesjunior, heavy maiden, light maiden and youths under 21.
