POSTAL SHOOT WITH PETONE

A full programme occupied the members cf the Whangarei Miniature Rifle Club last evening. Twenty-eight members took part in the various competitions. The Bargain Store Cup. a teams match of three members, a further shoot for the R. T. Tudehope trophy, and a commencement for the j; Norris trophy was the bill of fare. The final for the W. R. Patterson trophy was shot .between, the three ties, M. Sheriff (96, 4—100), J. Calder (98.’ 2 —100) and R. Jennings (99. 1 — 100) again tieing for the trophy. The ties will be decided on Tuesday next. J. Tudehope scored the possible 100 in the competitions.

A postal shoot between the local club and the Pctcne Miniature Rifle Club was also shot off. The targets of the local club will be forwarded to Wellington for scrutineering. A.
