KAURI TIMBER
INCREASED DIVIDEND. [Special to “Northern Advocate.”] AUCKLAND, This Day. The Auckland office of the Kauri Timber Co., Ltd., has received advice from the head office, Melbourne, that the directors, subject to audit, have resolved to recommend a dividend of 3 per cent for the year ended August 31. After losses, amounting to £36,430 in 1931 and 1932, when no dividends were paid, the company earned a net profit of £10.821 in the year ended August 31, 1933, and returned to the dividend list with a distribution of 2 per cent, made possible by the use of £15,000 from the dividend equalisation fund. The increase to 3 per cent proposed for the past financial year indicates a further improvement in trading results.
