STODART MAY PROTEST.

MELROSE STATUS AFFECTED,

Because he considers that several wrong times were entered in the log book, Squadron-Leader Stodart may protest to the Air Race Committee. If the corrections sought are made, Squadron-Leader Stodart will displace Mr Melrose in second place in the handicap event.
It is claimed that times were wrongly, entered at Alor Star and Rambang. The official time of Melrose’s flight was 79hrs 17mins, and SquadronLeader Stodart’s 79hrs 32mins, making the difference only of 15 minutes over the 11,000 mile journey.
TASMAN FLIGHT.
HEWETT’S INTENTION.
McGREGOR AT MASCOT.
(Received 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 7,
Squadron-Leader Hewett said they would fly the Tasman as soon as their machine had been overhauled at Mascot Aerodrome.
The other New Zealand competitors, Squadron-Leader M. C. McGregor and Mr H. C. Walker, arrived at Mascot at 10.45 a.m. .
THE MOLLISONS.
ARRIVAL AT ROME. (Received 9.30 a.m.) ' ROME, November 7. Mr and Mrs Mollison arrived here en route to England, after their misfortune in conhectio'n with the Centenary air race. Mrs Mollison joined the Dutch air liner and Mr Mollison left for Marseilles alone in the Comet.
