FAMOUS FLIERS’ VISIT
WHANGAREI DATE SUGGESTED ! AIR RACE COMPETITORS. i ! The New Zealand Centenary Air Race Committee has written to the Whangarei Aero Club, suggesting November 20 as a suitable date for the visit to Whangarei of Squadron-Lead-ers McGregor and Hewett, who competed in the air race, and who are to tour the Dominion. Mr W. M. Fraser has stated that there is every possibility that the Kioreroa reclamation •will be sufficiently prepared to allow planes to land there on that date. A ! reply to this effect has been sen* by i'Mr W. Surmah, secretary of the Whangarei Aero Club. A meeting of the committee of the club will be held shortly.
