Coffee (ground)—lib equals 5 cups or loz equals 5 tablespoons. Crumbs (bread) —2oz equals 1 cup. FloUr —1 quart equals about 11b. Lard—l cup, packed solid, equals Jib. Meat —One pound as purchased equals when cooked about 3 cups minced, or 2 cups packed. Nuts—One pound in shell equals about J cup shelled; one cup shelled equals about 4oz. Onions—One large, minced, equals about J cup; I medium, minced, equals about 5 tablespoons; one small, minced, equals about 3 tablespoons. Orange—Juice of one equals J cup; grated rind equals 2 tablespoons. Raisins—One cup equals 6oz. Rice—One pound, equals 2 cups. Salt—One ounce equals two and one-eighth tablespoons. Sugar (granulated)—Half a pound equals one cup; loz equals, two tablespoons. Brown sugar—Jib equals one and three-eighths cups. Powdered sugar—Jib equals about 1J cups. Suet—One pound equals 4 cups, chopped.
