RUGBY BROADCAST
PRINCIPLE APPROVED (Per Press Association.—Copyright.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Canterbury Rugby Union, at the annual mooting last evening, carried the following resolutions: —“That this meeting approves the principle of broadcasting of matches, but that conditions under which the rights are granted, financial or otherwise, be under the control of the committee.” It was argued by members of the Management Committee that broadcasting of matches would reduce the gate receipts, and it Avas stated that in Wellington gate receipts had fallen considerably since broadcasting had been permitted.
