MANGONUI
A visiting team of cricketers, com prising players from Rangialuia. and Okaihau clubs, met a. combined Alan gouni and Poria. team of six players from each place. Captained by Air G. Salisbury, visitors, end Air AY. A. S. Wrnthall, Alanigonui, each team batted 12 and fielded 11 men aside. Tho visitors fell easy victims in their first innings for 28 runs, and Maugonui replied with 147. Following on, the visitors had compiled 30 for 3 wickets when the stumps were drawn at 4 p.m. to enable the return trip to be commenced. Top scorers for the home team were J. AVrathall 49 and L. Brown 39. Ac the figures denote, these two players made a most useful stand for therr side, and played most enterprisingly, employing a variety of strokes. G, Salisbury was the only man to make any sort of a showing for the visitors, and he toj) scored with 10. Afternoon tea was served by Ihc home team. The visitors arrived at 10.30 and departed at 4,45 p.m. Airs Cameron, of Hawera, is visiting her sister, Airs Samuel Yates, of Honeymoon Aballcy, Poria.
