The tennis tournament between Australia and Britain was continued to-day. There was a large attendance. Results were;— Singles.-—Lee beat Crawford 3-6, 6-4, 7-5; Quist beat Perry 2-6, 6-2, 6- j Doubles. —Hughes and Perry beat ] Turnbull and Quist 5-7, 6-2, 6-8, 4-6, 7- Crawford and Hopman beat Lee and Wilde 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4. ! Australia has won 7 rubbers 21 sets | and Britain 5 rubbers 17 sets, Quist’s (accurate placing after the first set (frustrated the Englishman’s attempt ito slow up. Perry lacked concentrajtion and there was an absence of his I usual devastating service. Quist i fought grimly and was consistent in 'attack. | Lee and Crawford sarted erraticalily, but the standard of their play improved.
