Captain C. Thomson, a member of the Naval Board, and Paymaslor-Com-inandor R. Dunnan, secretary to tho hoard, arrived in Auckland from Wellington yesterday morning.
Mr T. A. F. Stone, chief machinist draughtsman for the North-West Failways, India, accompanied by Mrs Stone and their three children, arrived in Wellington hy the Wanganella from Sydney yesterday on Id months - ' furlough. He is proceeding to Auckland.
The R?v. Frank B. Dobson, Vicar of Manurowa, has resigned. Ordained -t-
years ago, he was stationed on the west coast of the South Island for six yoaris. Ho c-ame to the Auckland Diocese in 1807 and was then Vicar ot Bombay, Pukekohe, Paeroa, and, for the last seven years, Manurewa.
At today’s meeting of tho Auckland Education Board, the following teaching appointments were made: —Miss M. Milne, 8.A., second assistant, Dargaville District High School; assistant mistresses: Miss J. C. Wotten, Kamo; Miss E. D. Dodds, Miss M. H. Dweu, Wliaiigaroi.
Mr A, K. Graham, chairman of directors of Dalgely and Company, Ltd., accompanied by his daughter, Miss P. Graham, arrived at Wellington yesterday by the Wanganella from - Sydney after spending four months in Australia. Ho will eday in New Zealand about two months before returning to England.
