The Indian Nationalist Loader, Gandhi, has given the world a week’s notice of his ne)ct fast. He has irifonm ed the press that he has decided unconditionally and irrevocably te fast 21 days, commencing on A lay S.
Gandhi says the. fast ■. is Va .'heart prayer to God for the purification of himself and his associates for the great work of improving tho lot of India’s untouchable outcasts.
AFany people think the fast is part of a deep political game,, but Gandhi assures them it is purely religious. .Ho said lie has no desire to die, but,is .prepared to do so if God so wills.
A message from Bombay says doctors declare that if Gandhi carries out the fast he will not live the 21 Raj's, his constitution' is so frail. Gandhi -says nothing would persuade, him to abandon his decision'.
