AUSTRALIAN CHILLED MEAT
PETTISH ADJUSTMENTS,

The British Government has declared that it will strictly carry out the Ottawa agreement and will adjust the excess of imports of foreign “bagged” beef (classed as offal from Argentina) into England by reductions to be made during the remaining quarters of the year.
■ Mr. F. il. Stewart, Minister of Commerce, received this information from Mr. S. M. Bruce. Mr, Stewart stated that the position as it was now defined by the British Government, fully meets the objections raised by the Australian moat exporters.' Producers throughout Australia, ho said, may rest assured that both the letter and the spirit of the Ottawa agreement will be carried out by the British Governal.en.tV.' .. . :!!. ■•'
