WOOL DISPOSAL
MINIMUM PRICE PROJECT.
BRADFORD OPPOSITION,
(Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, December 19
The Bradford correspondent of the Australian Press Association reports that it is probable that both British and Continental importers of wool will co-operate to oppose any proposal to fix a minimum price reserve, as suggested in Australia in anticipation of the conference of growers, brokers, shippers and bankers at Canberra on January 7. The International Wool and Textile Organisation has communicated with leading Bradford importing organisations, which are watching developments closely. It is suggested here that the abolition of the Federal land tax would be the soundest way of reducing production costs, as it w T ould mean a, saving of 3d in he £.
