~ Mr W. Goodfellow, who attended" the Ottawa Conference on behalf of the dairy industry, left Vancouver .yesterday by the Aornngi.. Mr C.. L. Grange, town clerk of Invercargill, who has been -appointed Commissioner of the Borough of Thames, will leave Invercargill on September 20 to take up his new position. The manager of the Martoh branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op-erative Distributing Company, Mr W. C. Fowler, has been appointed general manager, of the ‘company, with headquarters at Feilding, in succession to the late- Mr Hassall.
Mr. L. Hill, who for the past eighteen months has been -postmaster at. ’Whangarei, received word last night of his transfer on promotion to Hastings, in a similar" capacity. . During his comparatively short sojourn in Whangarei Air. Hill has -proved. himself a courteous and efficient officer; and that those qualities arc appreciated at headquarters is indicated by this further advancement. Air. and Mrs. Hill and ithoir daughter Valerie expect Ito cleave Whangarei for their new home at the end of the month.
