ROAD BLOCKED
CROWN TENANTS FENCE ACCESS
The access of several property owners at One Tree Point has been blocked by the fencing of the old road by Crown tenants who have recently taken up land.
The position was represented to the Hon. A, .1. Murdoch, who replied by wire on August 6 that he had presented the case to the Minister of Public Works, and was awaiting his reply.. The Whahgarei County has asked fot a grant outside the County’s allocation for making a now road outside the fence line.
At the council meeting yesterday, Cr. A. J. McKay said that the position was becoming accentuated on account of further fencing, and all communication for some settlers, was now blocked.
It was decided to further telegraph the member for the district, pointing out Hie urgency of the case.
